Samsung galaxy s5 verizon help

Caleb Johnson

New Member
So I got a new Samsung Galaxy s5 for Christmas and my dad said he put Verizon on my phone so, quote, "He can see the websites I visit and what I search on the internet". I've looked at MANY sources and found that people have said that they don't give that information out. But I don't want my dad to be right for various reasons... So can he see the websites I visit and what I search up or not?

UPDATE: I already looked up "things" on it, and that was about 3 days ago, he hasn't said anything since... Also I can not text or call or anything, there's no like service like that, all he said was he put Verizon on it and he can see what I search.. so can I actually look things up and he wont see or what

Welcome to the forum Caleb!

As CJM showed you, the service in that link could be what dad setup. I'm not very familiar with it myself, but looking at what it does, it doesn't appear that he can actually use it to see exactly what websites you're visiting, just that you're calling and texting at certain times and how you're using your data. I could be wrong though.

In any case, until you get yourself a job and can afford your own phone, you should respect your dad's rules for having one. ;)

Verizon does offers tracking solutions for devices for an account holder to see what they do...texts...calls...and I know there is a website parental controls... beyond that, he probably can and will know what you DO with your phone!

This should be moved too the Verizon section! ;)

Tor is your friend.

Edit:

I didn't see anything on that Verizon site that shows that you can track Web usage. Incognito mode ftw.

@Ollie, That's if the dad does not set an age level...but worth a try! XD
Yeah, there appears to be an age level setting & of course you can see amount of data usage by line, but I see nothing leading me to believe he could see actual sites visited on the device.

How forgiving is dad?

Fastest way to tell if he can see what you're viewing across the Web is to visit a dirty site once or twice & wait & see if he says something. Haha
