The reviews are starting to pour in like a tidal wave, and the general consensus is that the new Samsung Galaxy S III is an amazing device. We thought it would be useful to you guys to have a "one stop shop" thread to find most of the reviews culled from around the web. For the most part everyone is gushing about the new phone, and the favorite features are the new software enhancements that Samsung has added to really make the SGS3 stand out. Still, not all the reviewers think the device is perfect, but of course, the hype was built up to a fever pitch for this one, so it was going to have a tough hill to climb. The main complaints were relegated toward TouchWiz and bloatware, and in a few cases reviewers were unimpressed by S Voice's lack of polish. Regardless, the SGS3 really takes things to a new level and seems to compete head-on with the iPhone and every other Android out there.

Some of the reviews we found were quite long and detailed, while others were quick and efficient with their impressions. Because there were so many reviews, rather than list the individual impressions of each review site, we will just share a link to the review and which site it was from. Enjoy!

According to the benches done on Engadget with the US version, it doubles up my HTC Rezound in all the benchmarks, looks like the Krait S4 is quite an upgrade from the Krait S3. And compared to the quad core Exynox it comes very close, makes me just wonder what power the Krait S4 quadcore this fall will have with the new GPU, will probably put the Exynox and Tegra to shame, qualcomm looks like they know what they are doing when it comes to mobile chips.

There are other older android apps that do the same thing. This is just the Sammy version of it.

I picked up the T-Mobile version this morning. So far so good - but the reception/data connection in my building is pretty bad compared to my One S. This isn't LTE either, just regular "4G" (HSPA/HSPA+). Other than that, which it's very early to make any judgments on, it's absolutely awesome. I was afraid it would feel too big, but it doesn't, somehow...

Congrats on the new device sir :)

Congrats man!!!!

And with that I will be watching very closely. Already a negative comparison with reception. I'm not gonna get myself into the same situation that I was in with the G'Nex.

We'll see - there shouldn't be all out drop issues like with LTE, but I need to pop my sim in and out of both and do some comparison's before I sell the One S.

edit: there shouldn't be drop issues in my case since I'm on Tmo! ;)

Well my G'Nex reception issues were 4G, 3G and even wifi. As I said I will be watching closely. :)

Oh yes, I remember the twitter conversations! You and I seemed to have the only bad units early on... lol. The Gnex did improve quite a bit with 4.0.4, and the GS3 is starting on 4.0.4, but who knows. Hard to compare two completely different types of networks as well.
