The folks at PhoneArena recently pitted a slew of current flagship devices against each other in a blind camera quality test. The hands down winner ended up being the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The Apple iPhone 6 came in second, with the Samsung Galaxy S5 coming in third, and the Galaxy Note 3, Sony Xperia Z3, and LG G3 rounding out the bottom half.

The images from the Galaxy Note 4 received a whopping 43% of the vote, which was basically double the 22% of the second place iPhone 6. Over 6,000 people voted in the poll, so it seems to be a pretty good sample to base a valid test on. This is good news for shutterbugs who have held out for the Galaxy Note 4.

I'm curious how this survey was administered. Were the participants only given one picture (the one shown above), or were they multiple pictures. Because it would seem to me that certain camera's might do better in different scenarios, like portraits, or macro, or live action, etc.

They were given a large sample of many shots to view. If you click on the PhoneArena source link you can see all the pics.

Oh cool. I didn't see the link when I read the story. Interesting story, and really cool pictures.

Ya that screen darkens so that you can view the photos easier. If you just click any part of the website OTHER than the photos, it'll lighten up again

IPhone 6 sky color really stood out as being unnatural(too deep of a blue) compared to rest of phones.
