I'm being told that the root method did not apply to the most recent KK build but an older one. There is an existing kernel exploit for the latest KK build but nothing is working on the Android side to actually write system values/permission.

Blazinandroid1 (who claims to have rooted his Verizon Note 4) in the XDA thread has not posted back since Thursday, although he stated an app would be available by the weekend. I'm sincerely hoping he's on the up and up but who knows? He's listed as a "senior member" not a "recognized developer" but I don't know what one must do on XDA to be a "recognized developer."
