Samsung Fascinate Does Not Always Ring When Called

My wife's Fascinate is having a problem where when you call the phone, it does not always ring. On her phone, there is no evidence that a call was ever received. Has anyone ever run into this? Should I try doing a factory reset on the phone? Any advice is appreciated.

Fascinate doesn't always ring

It happened to me three times on Mothers' Day. Two calls didn't ring but I instantly got a voice mail beep. One call didn't show up at all. I knew I'd be getting called so made sure our network extender was working properly and kept my phone right next to me. Pretty frustrating but not as frustrating as the lousy battery.

I'm really surprised to see this problem in the fascinate, I thought it was unique to the eris. it seemed to start when the eris was updated to 2.1 last year. Didn't you guys recently get an os update? After I finally rooted the phone at least I get missed call notices.
