Samsung Begins Next Galaxy Phone Countdown

We’re still two weeks out before Samsung’s next flagship device in the Galaxy S series is unveiled in London, but the marketing campaign may start a bit sooner than that. Samsung has launched a new website today which is letting eager fans count down to the release of the “next Galaxy” smartphone which will debut at their ‘Unpacked’ event in London on May 3rd. The image you see above comes from tgeltaayehxnx.com, an anagram for “The Next Galaxy.” The URL was outed in a tweet from Samsung Mobile earlier today.

The coming soon countdown ends tomorrow at 7am Eastern and 4am Pacific time here in California where I'm at. I guess we'll be waking up to another teaser, the start of a mystery, or a treasure hunt? At this point who knows, only Samsung does and they are still keeping as tight of a lid as they have ever done ahead of a high-profile launch.

Looking forward to seeing what my next phone will look like. Hope it has: quad core, bezeless display, a reasonable size screen, 12 mp camera, a long lasting battery and a super amoled plus screen! Oh and I hope it's thin and doesn't weigh a ton.

Come on Samsung, bring it to VZ!

All I know is this better be on Verizon. I'm sick to death of Moto violating us with unlocked bootloaders and lack up updates. At least if this drops I can be assured of manufacturer support to aid the great Android devs out there.

If no one can tell, the more I see all the great Samsung, Sony, and HTC hardware available on other carriers and in other countries (namely the UK) the more fiery my distaste for what Moto-dominated Verizon has me locked into. Something's got to give. Instead of launching Windows phones as noted elsewhere, why doesn't VZ focus on giving Android users a less erratic phone selection and better service. ICS anyone? No more junk devices perhaps? Just a thought.

W.e the announcement is, their server can't handle the load, or they took it down... 503 error

I'd be happy if they were just telling us the Galaxy Note will be coming to Verizon (with a better battery).

Same. I think I've decided I want the note over the S3. I am really intrigued by the large screen and built in stylus. My wife got a Prime and bought an after market stylus and the thing is pretty hand to have. I think it would be awesome for the Verizon Note to have a Exyno processor in it but that is just hopeful dreaming =).
