When news surfaced that Samsung would be removing the home button my thought was about time, welcome to the future Samsung. But there was no way Samsung was going to move their fingerprint sensor to the back like some other android phones we know. Well If the word on the street is right and Samsung is going to go button free scanner then my interest have just peaked.

According to reports Synaptics may likely be making the sensor on the upcoming Galaxy S8. Their latest sensor, the FS9100, can be placed under the glass and works with wet finger (which will go well with Samsung's water resistant phones).

As much as I like Google's placement of the fingerprint scanner I think I may like where Samsung may be placing their fingerprint scanner better.

What are your thoughts?

I really enjoyed how LG did it in the past. Kept the volume rockers and the fingerprint scanner on the back. Made it easier, IMO
