S4 contact icon problem

Hi - Could anyone please help me with applying a pic as a contact icon on the galaxy S4? Ive tried opening contacts, selecting a contact and tapping on the contact icon in the top left corner but it wont even select? This worked on my S2 but not on this phone...other than this problem its a great phone.

Go to your pics long press one that you want to set as a contact. Hit set as and then contact. Kind of the long way around but it works.
