S-Off vs. Unlocked Bootloader

Anyone know if we need the bootloader unlocked if we already have S-Off? I have flashed a few ROMs already and was wondering if I would need to go unlock my bootloader to gain more customization options. Can we change kernels and overclock with a locked bootloader?

So, I rooted and gained s-off but haven't unlocked my bootloader through the HTC site. It sounds like I don't need to do this and can do everything I could on my rooted OGDroid.
