The day has finally come! Jcase, Beaups and the rest of TheRoot.ninja team has finally released the S-OFF method for the HTC One M9. With S-Off you will be able to flash anything on your M9. When I say anything I mean anything. This also means that you can do some serious damage to your HTC One M9 so you will want to be careful to not flash the wrong thing. Security Off will allow us to flash proper firmwares. Without S-Off you would have to flash those separately from your Rom which can be a major pain.
The method for S-Off comes by way of the Sunshine S-Off app. Basically all you will have to do is launch the app and press some buttons! It really is that easy. The app will test your device for compatibility once it has determined your device is compatible it will give you the option to buy a license. The license will set you back $25 which is a small price to pay to gain full access to your device. The fee goes towards further developing the app for future devices. Jcase had to purchase 10 M9's just for testing. That doesn't include devices that were bricked in the process so you can imagine development costs add up quickly.
