Here's an interesting bit of intel. Supposedly, HTC has secured a contract with Google to produce a new "high-end" Nexus branded tablet in the third quarter of this year. For now we are definitely treating this one as rumor, because it seems a bit suspect. HTC's Android tablets have been anything but a success, and HTC has been on a steep decline for several years now. Why would Google hand over the reigns of the Nexus tablet project to a failing company?
Of course, it is possible that the Samsung made Nexus 10 hasn't been a huge success either, so maybe Google is just giving HTC a shot. Stranger things have happened...
