  • Android 4.1-4.3 Jelly Bean
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • Android 3.0 Honeycomb

  • Android 1.0 (no dessert name)

SO glad they went with Lollipop over Tootsie Pop or BlowPop. No more product endorsement branding please!

If the Google I/O conference is indication, it looks like Google is dropping the dessert naming convention from Android. The next iteration of Android (5.0) appears to be called simply Android L.

Yea well if they put a giant L on the front lawn at Google, I'll kick it down and put up my own lollipop! :p

In other words, "we haven't found a partner for naming rights, yet"

Also, this could be confused with Roman numerals - L means "50" not "5.0"

No, I don't know what you mean.

Google has always used "dessert" names. Microcrap has its own naming convention as well.
