According to a source from Business Insider, Google is planning to launch their very own social gaming platform for Android. The new social gaming hub will be native to Android and showcase features along the same line as Apple's Game Center, including: achievements, leader boards, and a friend finder system. It was also rumored that the new platform will use Google+ to enhance its social aspect. Supposedly Google has been working towards making Android a better gaming platform for about year, something that "wasn’t part of their institutional DNA". No information was given on when Google might launch this new service but it wouldn't be surprising if they made an announcement at their upcoming I/O conference.
