I'm trying to root my Thunderbolt (running 2.3.4, Gingerbread) and I've found a lot guides, most of which say they are now outdated. I've also seen warnings http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1096104saying not to attempt to root a Thunderbolt running Gingerbread until "an update is released", but this was written back in May.
Most guides were written back in May/March before this new update was released a couple weeks ago. Is there any up-to-date and simple guide that is relatively safe to use with this new update?
