Rooted need help with over clocking

Ok i just rooted my droid x i tried to over clock it using droid x over clocking. Tried very low to high volts. It slows down so bad it takes 5 mins to start the phone. So dose any one know of a site that can explain how overclock it works and what would work best for my phone giving it parameters. It says I can overclock my phone 1350. Please help out.
