Root my Droid x

I'm sure someone has made a nifty topic on how to root a Droid x.. problem is I can't find anything.

If anyone can post a link to a thread or tell me how on here. Would be awesome thanks

What system version are you on?
Under settings/about phone...
This well help us tell you the easiest route

Are you using a computer or your phone?
Either way... This method requires a computer

No you don't... just the proper files and divers installed
On your phone... Use a different browser... Like dolphin...

I have a Droid X 2.3.3 on the 4.5.605 or something...it won't root either. I keep getting a message that states it stopped unexpectedly...were you ever able to root successfully. What can I do...I have been trying on my phone because I have a Mac not pc so am I sol??

With 605... It won't work trying from the phone...
But if you follow the link I posted higher up... There is a section talking about routing it with a Mac
