There are already several root toolkits for the Nexus 5. Normally root users who own Mac PCs are out in the cold when it comes to rooting and modding their devices since developers normally develop with Windows users in mind. If you own a Mac and you want to root your Nexus 5 you are in luck today. There is a toolkit that will root, unlock your bootloader, and install recovery!

You will need to first download the Android File Transfer Tool

Next download and extract these three toolkits

Inside each toolkit click the Green Android Icon to execute the task
Turn off your Nexus 5 and boot into recovery then run the root toolkit first, followed by the unlock bootloader, followed by the twrp
