ROMed D3 boots into motoblur when plugged in

So on my past two ROMs I have tried to reset the battery stats at 100% and I the phone plugged in and I reboot the phone it skips safestrap and starts booting into the stock ROM. Does anyone know why this happens?

Which version of Safestrap? I believe that there was a recent 2.x version that would not boot the replacement bootstrap if the phone was plugged in while it was powered up. You may want to try the latest (2.1.0) - I'm not sure, but perhaps that no longer happens with 2.1.0.
