The great thing about owning a Nexus device is the ability to run the latest Android version as soon as, or in some cases before, it is released! As soon as Google announced Jelly Bean 4.1 and released a developer preview the dev community modified it and made it bootable on our Galaxy Nexus devices! There are currently a handful of 4.1 Roms available. Developer "ChevyCam94" just dropped his version of Jelly Bean for the Galaxy Nexus. This one seems to stray a little from stock unlike most of the others that are available. ChevyCam has really taken the time to tweak his build out for optimal performance!
The Steel Droid Jelly Bean Rom includes a ton of performance enhancing mods. Some of the mods include AirKernel, ICS tweaks, filesystem performance tweaks, Battery tweaks, and other hacks and tweaks. It also includes lots of custom mods like Advanced Power Menu, Custom FF7 Ringtone, Tesseract Boot Animation, Beats Audio, Steel Droid Carrier Name displayed, weak Wifi fixed, weak bluetooth fixed, Nova Launcher as default launcher, and all audio files plus much more!
This Rom is looking pretty sick, and even though the complete source has not been released for Jelly Bean this Rom is 100% stable and ready for daily driver use!
