I'm currently using chevyno1 low voltage .8 kernel running lithium mod1.0.12 which I installed via ROM manager. ROM manager has a option to download using a QR code but I'm unsure about how it works. any suggestions??
This is used if you are browsing around on your PC and see a ROM or something that is available. Either the dev can post the QR code (rarely see this done) or you can create one yourself using a plugin for the browser (I use https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2780/ . You then use your phone to scan it in ROM manager, and it downloads and installs automagically, in ROM manager fashion. Note that whatever you try and download, you must have a direct download link to. So hosting sites like rapidshare and megaupload probably won't work. But if it were an update.zip that was hosted somewhere that didn't require a login, to type something, or wait 45 seconds it should work.
I only used it once to see if it worked. I thought "cool it works." then never had a need to use it again, haha.
