Rom manager automatic backup not working??

I have Rom manager set to run a automatic backup at 4 am. However, when i look in the restore backup folder there is no scheduled backup there. When i look in the next scheduled backup list the date has changed for the next day indicating that the previous backup completed. Any ideas what going on with this?

no i have not uninstalled the app, i am fixing the permissions right now though. I have the latest verison of rom manager that is available

i have the paid aka premium version. Also, i was just looking at some sites and noticed rom manager is only for rooted phones (which mine is). I am lookin at getting a new droid in jan or feb when the olympus comes out. Will rom manger work on a non rooted phone to at least use the clockworld recovery for backups?

no i use it for just about everything it offers over the last year. What phones can you root? I know the original droid but i heard the htc droid and the droid x can also be rooted. any others?

Rescue Squad can help you better than I can, but try this...You can flash alternate recovery towards the bottom of Rom manager and then flash regular clockwork recovery at the top of Rom manager...then try making a backup.

I don't think you need to be running a back up every day. Just backup your phone when it is in a good state or before doing anything that might mess your phone up (modding with metamorph, applying a theme, etc)

Stelv offers good advice, but I wanted to see what you were doing with it so I could offer alternatives.

Clockwork backups take up a [expletive deleted] ton of space. Go see if you just plain ran out.

There isn't an Android phone out there that hasn't been rooted in one stripe or another at this point. Andy likes to breathe free. ;)

No i have 9 gigs of space on the sd card left. I leave 3-4 backups on there and delete one when i add one. I like screwing with the phone with themes roms etc.. So i always have a backup no more than 3 days old. I been running bugless beast and just waiting for the next version. I like the upcoming phones but it would kill me not to have root. I like the wifi tether and stuff. Anyway, only real thing i hate with the original droid is there is not a lot of room on the phone. The droid 2 have 8 gigs internal memory which is nice and i think u can root it

You can. Like I said, they've all been rooted.

Why don't you try doing manual backups instead of the automatic ones? That way you always have one from right before you started screwing around? No lost texts and whatnot. Also, have you looked into Titanium Backup?

yeah i have been doing he manual backups but i figured the automatic feature is there so i set it every 3 days to backup but like i said it hasn't. Also, yes i have titanium backup and the paid version as well. I have that to run automatically at 2 am and backup my apps. That automatic backup works fine
