Thought any Rockbox fans out there might be interested to know that it is now being ported to android. See here for info and prebuilt apks.
For those that don't know, Rockbox is an open source alternative firmware that was written from scratch for many digital audio players.
I tried the Prebuilt 480x800 on my Droid 1 and it worked pretty good for being in such an early stage. There currently is only touchscreen controls and you will want to change to a larger font or else the menus will look very small.
Can't wait to see this become more developed. dancedroid
