Ringtones not playing

I have added some ringtones to my DX (some through apps, some through MP3 player and some through a program I have on my computer that makes a portion of a song into a ringtone...all of which worked fine on my D1). I went through and set different ringtones for different contacts, my volume is on and up loud and for some reason my phone just vibrates when it's any of those tones played. If it's a tome that came on the phone it plays fine, just not mine. Can anyone help please (I don have the vibrate turned off on my phone).

nevermind. I found I had the vibrate when phone is face down option checked. had to factory reset my phone, what fun. FYI: don't check that option
