Ringtone delay (SMS and calls)

I notice that when I receive a text, it'll vibrate for a second, pause 1-2 seconds, THEN play the ringtone. Similarly when receiving a call, the vibration starts, then a few seconds later the ringtone starts.

This really is annoying. What can be done?

I noticed the same thing. Already moved the ringtone to /system/media/audio/ringtones and it doesn't make a difference.

Meh.
