Ringer volume

Wife has Droid X. SInce last update (Froyo), she cant get loud ringer volume. IT shows on loudest but sound is very low. She has downloaded, and uninstalled several apps to increase volume but no luck. Anyone els3 have problem? Any suggestions?

I just got the wife a DX too, had an OTA update available. Ringer worked well before and after on it.
