Ringer Stops after a Half Ring

This has happened twice and the only solution I found was to factory reset which is simply a pain.
So my question is, has anyone else had a problem where suddenly, when you receive a call, the ringtone begins to sound, but gets quickly cut off halfway through the ring and then does not sound again? Next call does the same thing etc.
This happens with all ringtones (stock or custom) regardless of the location (phone or sdcard) and happens with regular calls or contacts calling.
Also, no, I do not have the quiet ring on pickup option enabled. Never have.
Any ideas?

Call Verizon's customer support. It's free and you don't usually have to wait too long to talk to somebody from my experience.

wow. VZW store was out of stock and VZW CS is mailing one. But It's not shipping until 5/30. They are charging my account $579.00 until I return the defective phone, which I can't return because I don't have the replacement yet and won't until June 1. What a mess!!

I have the same problem, and it also happens with my alarms, which totally doesn't help because then I lay in bed for another ten minutes until it goes off again so I can shut it off rather than have it snooze again. It's like I have to trick my phone into thinking that I'm not moving it so I can answer it or shut the alarm off. I am so disappointed in this phone.
