Ringer issue

Hi - My name is Stan and I'm having a (recent) problem with my old Motorola Droid; the ringer is constantly silent. I have checked the settings and it appears that all is ok there. I have been known to make mistakes, though. I just noticed on an incoming call that a speaker icon with a "muted" slash appeared in the notification bar; have never seen that before. Also, recently did an export, reset, import to phone.

Hope someone can help me.

Hello and welcome to the forum Stan...

While on your home screen, press and hold the volume up key and see if that changes the volume of your ringer (it should give you a popup display on your homescreen)....

Thanks - I've done all the volume controls both on the side and in Settings master - no go. Does anyone know what/why I get the phone icon with an 'X'/ I previously reported a '/' which was incorrect.

Hey Stan. I am wondering if by mistake you did just mute the call/mic. Have you seen it more then once?
