First off sorry to ask what seems to be so basic a question. I have rooted my phone and am having a blast playing with different apps that exploit the phone being rooted. However I am having a nagging problem that for the world of me I can not seem to get to bottom of. Every time my phone rings it is preceded by the following voice notification: "Verizon Wireless incoming call". It is driving me crazy. What can I do to stop this annoying notification. Thanks

Sys version: 2.3.340
Anroid version: 2.2.1
Rooted with: Z4

I just gave that a shot and it still does it. Driving me tazy . It also says "Loss of service" when I power down and power up.

Make sure the settings are where you want them. Give it a reboot or battery pull then see if it continues.

Sweet. It was the "Roaming Tone" notification. Thanks the5barrons for your help. I love this place. After all the roaming and reading on this boar everyone always seems patient and willing to help pretty much any one no matter how noob the question. 'preciate it!
