Revolutionary Root Help

Hey guys i just used revolutionary root method and every seemed to work correctly following natemil's video. the only thing that didnt seem to be the same was the "root checker" at the end of the video, I seem to be missing this on my phone and I'm afraid I might have messed up some where. Do i need this "root checker" in order to complete the root? I do however see the superuser app he talks about but thats it.

I just rooted too, you really don't need it, but its just to make sure you have root, just download it from the market.

yeah i kinda figured that out after awhile when i was looking in the market.
