reset to factory settings. now what?

i reset my droid pro that im not using anymore to factory settings. now i want to mess with it and explore. would at least like to be able to use it to surf the net with wi-fi, play music, videos.....

can i do this by rooting, hacking. or do i have to create something new.

any suggestions will help. kinda sucks to just have it sit there.
