REQUEST: Wake on touch while in Mobile Dock

I have the new Droid and LOVE it. One issue I have is that when I am docked in my mobile dock and not using nav or maps it will time out and dim the screen. As many of you know to wake it we have to fumble reach for the top left corner and hope to press the wake button, then swipe the bar.

Is it possible for an app to recognize when its in the dock, and either keep the screen awake like maps does, or intercept a touch of the screen to simply wake itself up?

I would like to know how to do this as well. Not only while in the dock, at all times.

Not a perfect solution, but you can just slide the screen up a bit to wake it up rather than fumbling for the lock button. I've found this much easier when it's docked.

I also have noticed this problem, however when I have my DROID plugged into a cigarette lighter charger while it's in the car mount, the screen stays on.
