Rename Bluetooth Devices

Is there any way to rename the Bluetooth devices my phone connects to. For instance I have a number of friends with the Bose Sound-link Bluetooth speaker, as well as my own speaker. When i look to connect to one they all show up as the same name. I would like to be able to name one "my speaker", another "johns speaker", and so on. Likewise my Bluetooth dongle in my car is simply a series of numbers and letters, i i would like to call it "my car"

Settings->Bluetooth, press the 'gear' icon next to the device you want to rename, then click "Rename".

Damn, So simple. Not sure how i missed that. Much obliged.

Wife and I each have an Alpine deck. Had to change the names within the handset to keep it straight.
