Removing folder from home screen?

I somehow have a folder showing "phones" on home screen? I tried throwing it away and it wont let me? How do I do it? Just switched from iPhone and can't believe I spent that much time on a terrible network!

You have to make sure you let it go when the trash can is red otherwise it will keep popping up.

you also have to make sure the little thing turns into a trashcan for you to dump it in. you can swipe desktop items between desktops.

It didn't seem like a dumb question when you didn't know. LOL
I'm sure some of us would be confused with a IPhone, Blackberry, WinMobile or anything else that we'd never fooled with before.
Don't worry, you'll get it. There's lots of hidden menus, Long Touch and the menu button on the phone brings up lots of options.

I will admit the droid is a little hidden in it's features and stuff sometimes. But it seems that when in doubt just push (or touch) and hold and something will happen.

Course it's might not always be what you want to happen, but that's how I stumbled on the widgets when I first got the phone.
