remove the google search bar?

Is there a way to remove that google search bar from the screen?? I've searched every where for the answer and no luck---- I have a Razr Maxx Hd!

Apps>google search-long press and drag to top>app info>uninstall updates>ok>then disable. your google bar will be gone. be fore warned your voice input will be also disabled.

Voice input disabled too.....hmm...I guess I'll have to live with the google bar....darn...thanks for answering me!!

Sucks, I hate the bar, messes up the screen. but the wallpaper doesn't quite fill up the gap it leaves.

Install Apex launcher. It is not only the best replacement launcher but you can also remove the google search bar from any (or all) screens without disabling the search apps. Remove search bar in Apex settings.
