Hello everyone,

I tried to root my Droid 1 that I recently got. Unfortuneatly I forgot to charge the battery before I started (GENIUS!!!) and now my phone will not charge and the root did not work. The phone powers to home screen, so I tried to reset to factory, which took, but I know the OS is not correct because it still wont charge. Could someone give me a hand reinstalling the original OS so hopefully I can give it another shot. I already have the rooting program that has been described in other threads. (Sorry I'm at work and forgot the name of the program.) Can someone help me out? I'd appriciate it!

P.S. The programs was rs lite, or something like that.

Verizon won't do anything for you, so don't take it back to them. The program you need is called RSD Lite and you also need an .sbf file, which is basically the factory image that RSD Lite flashes. It should be pretty simple to find both of those with a Google search. Make sure the .sbf file you get is for the Motorola Droid A855 and not any other model phone.
