reflashing back to old rom

i have a droid x running gingerbread .605 was on liberty v3 flashed to liquid rom which i dont care for want to relash back to liberty should i wipe and reflash from sd or restore from clockwork ,or any other way

If you have a nandroid back up of liberty I would restore that from clockwork. Otherwise you will have to wipe and flash the ROM again.

if i want to reflash liberty from liquid rom should i do it right from clockwork or recover from liquids recovery prompt when i hit reboot of power button i was told not use bootstrap is that correct.

That is correct. You do not want to use bootstrap while running liquid.
