I had an application that was removed from the market. Last time I wiped my phone the market redownloaded it even though it was removed. I did a wipe again the market did not restore apps. I'm wondering if I can reload my backup of the last rom and find that apk somewhere and move it to sd to install on this rom?

Just asking to be sure but are you rooted? I am assuming you mean a nandroid back up but I want to be sure.

Yeah it was done with Clock Work Mod backup so I'm sure that nandroid. I have the last system saved and can revert to it at any time.

Yup that is a nandroid. If that back up has the app you are looking for then you should be able to restore it and use a file manager to grab the apk.

Well it's not really stored, just installed in /data/app. But you can extract it from there. If you use a file manager like root explorer (paid) or root browser (free), as soon as you open it up you will see the data directory towards the top. Just open in then open app and from there find the apk you need.
