Recieving the same text message more than once?

Anyone else having this problem? I'm using Handcent and like it, but lately I've been receiving the same text message 3, 4, or even 5 times. Any suggestions?

this has happened to me with every verizon phone i've ever had..not alot just once in awhile.

Also happened to me when I had non-verizon service and was texted by someone with verizon.
