Receiving Texts..

when i receive a text message from a friend in my contacts its like i get two notifications; one says unknown as in unknown sender and the other says the contact from whom it is coming from. both notifications display the same context from the sender but why is there a second notification with it saying unknown? its like i get two texts any help?

im not sure, thought with my droid it randomly deleted all my texts. i noticed that i got a text and it showed the wrong sender with all another persons messages. i hit back to go to the inbox and everything except the text i had just received were gone. i had auto delete off also. very weird that a text app isnt stable 100%
