Receiving double texts??

Okay, so I got Handcent for my text messaging app and I am now receiving double texts every time I receive one, one in the handcent app and one in the stock messaging app. I know there is a way to correct this problem seeing as how I did it on my DX but cannot remember how to correct this problem. Any help is appreciated...thanks in advance!!

LOL, same here until I turned off the notifications of the other program... I did not like the fact that I had to click DONE, then SEND. so stupid! Handsent works best!

Yup just unchecked the notification box in the stock text app and that stopped.

Open the "native" text message app. Select menu, message settings, scroll down and un-check notifications. Handcent should be the only notifications you get now. If you get a pop up from handcent and don't like it.... go into the handcent setting and un-check pop up.
