Rear Camera Gone!

Droid Incredible phone. Was using instagram in the middle of taking a video, and it crashed. Now there is no rear camera. when i open the camera app the front facing camera pops up (and works fine) The option at the top to select front or rear camera is also gone. things ive tried so far:
-Cleared data and cache in settings/app/camera
-Deleted recent pics and videos
-Uninstalled instagram
-Tried other Camera apps, same thing (only front camera)
-Factory restore on phone
-Took phone apart to physically check camera/ wiring/ pin connectors - seems fine, but im not a phone expert (obviously)
-No hacks or anything on the phone, just "stock" everything.

Any other ideas to try?

Well looks like you did everything I would've recommended to try and remedy it. Guess you just had some bad luck and the Camera died. Any local repair shops?

well i just ordered a new camera and will try replacing that...
