real player unable to detect .rm files

glad to have found this forum.

I have downloaded realplayer recently onto my moto droid and i was able to view .rm files on it only if i downloaded from the web. If i drop these files from mac onto the memory stick, they dont show up. Has anybody faced a similar problem ? Any solutions ?
