So after updating to the recent OTA back on my stock rom, do we need to reinstall this rom? Right?

Does OTA update have value to a RAZRX v1.0 user?
I'm loving RAZRX v1.0. And I use Safestrap. I have "Blur_Version.6.11.744.XT912.Verizon.en.US" installed. I see there is a newer version available. My question is this: Does switching Safestrap systems and installing the OTA update and then switching back to RAZRX ROM have any benefit? Or, does RAZRX pretty much overwrite any of the OTA changes anyway?Thanks!

In my opinion I say no, because in safestrap you are switching between two systems therefore updating on your non safe mode will have no effect on your safe mode. I'm sure that DroidTh3ory will have an update for RazrX soon with the new Moto software. Hope this helps.

sorry if this is the wrong thread guys but i received a notification for the .748 update this morning. I am however running safestrap and DTs RazrX rom and i need to know how to update my stock (non-safe) system. i though i read somewhere that i have to uninstall safestrap, un root, take the update, reroot, then reinstall safestrap. is this true? or was that procedure for the manual update? or can someone point me in the right direction for the process? im still new to the safestrap thing and dont wanna mess up my phone. ive looked everywhere and cant find it. thanks in advance

I also had razrx rom installed, went back to my backed up rooted stock from sd, unfroze everything, unrooted with root keeper(free from market), downloaded and installed update, re-rooted with same app, however on my phone safestrap is gone after update.

i would assume that you could just reinstall safestrap and restore razrx.

since i received a status 7 error during the update im assuming it cuz i dont have blockbuster and madden installed on my phone. is there any way i can backup my current stock rom, flash a new stock rom (with all the files installed), update to .748, then do a restore? i just dont want to have to dl and setup my phone again if i dont have to :/

open safestrap from app drawer. Uninstall recovery and install recovery you'll be able to enable safe again.
