Razr Proximity Sensor

I recently replaced the screen on my Razr, and now I'm having issues with the proximity sensor.

Before I replaced the screen everything was working, and now it acts like the proximity sensor is covered by something (there is no screen protector or case on it).
I originally thought I might have had the screen mis-aligned, as there's a little window that the sensor has to "see" out of on the screen. But even after detaching the screen, the sensor still shows as being covered.

I also thought I may have gotten some adhesive on the sensor, but again after cleaning it, its still not working.

I can hardly make phone calls on it now, because as soon as I dial or answer the phone, the screen goes black (and won't come back on until the other person ends the call)

If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it

I've found the problem!

Apparently while I was replacing the screen, a small rubbery piece fell out. I placed that back over the sensors, and it started working
