Razr Maxx Root Checker

New001

New Member
Although there is probably another thread on this, was wondering about this. An online article says there is a root checker in the device, which at the time of writing had no workarounds. I wish to root my phone, but first I want to know if there is a workaround to this currently. Thanks.

There's something in it that will show you somewhere in recovery mode whether root has ever been enabled and no, there is apparently no way to reverse that. It's assumed that it is for Verizon people to allow them to, probably, deny warranty. But you can go ahead and root, nothing will stop that, and Verizon won't "know" unless you hand the phone over to them physically for any reason.

In stock recovery there is an indicator to tell whether or not you've been rooted and no, nothing can be done about it. Oh well. ;)
