RAM Question

Hi All,
If you are trying to improve your RAM with those apps that say that help, if you remove your SD card, your stuck with whatever is on your phone, right? Thanks.

You're talking about two different things. RAM- Random Access Memory is what programs use to function, SDCard is physical disk space where programs/pics/vids, etc are saved to.

Android doesn't require or need one of the apps to manage memory.

I agree with Mustang, you should not need an app to "manage" your RAM. Android does a pretty good job of that all by itself. Apps that claim to help do that may actually slow the phone down and drain lots of battery. Also, an SD Card should have no impact on RAM.

I know exactly what are you talking about..that's called "partition the sd card"..yes I did that to my phone..so apparently you cannot remove your sd without unmount the sd first..or another option is to remove the link partition first..then you are good to go..let me know.

2)I am not lost. I have over twenty five years in the industry. What do you have, google? 3)Without root, the OP can't do what you're suggesting. Send us a program that can do it without root.

Whoa Xavier...simmer down. I was part of this thread too. And pretty sure the OP is a she...not a he. And yes we did help answer her original question. She even said thanks. Just wondering....did you read all responses before jumping to conclusions? Have you read the Forum rules?
