Yes, but only the ICS roms that are compiled to run off the Gingerbread system.... So you can't have the ICS leak or any ROMs built off the ICS leak running on your phone.
Your "unsafe" is typically the stock system....it's "unsafe to mess with it". Your "safe" is for the ROM you want to use/play with. You can install a gingerbread based ROM on the "safe" system if your unsafe system is still Gingerbread.
You can install an ICS leak based ROM on your safe system ONLY if your safe system is the ICS leak.
You can install the AOKP ICS that is NOT built off the leak on your "unsafe" side. This limits it's abilities as it is still running off the Gingerbread kernel (which your device has).
You should be able to find two different AOKP builds.....one will just be AOKP for the Bionic and one will be AOKP -ICS Leak for the Bionic. You can only use the standard one, not the leak one.
So my Razr is running official OTA ICS. I have safestrap installed and I have done a nandroid backup. I have a backup from before when I was on GB. So since my UNSAFE is ICS, I can't flash in safe mode my GB nandroid backup? Not a big deal, just want to know if my nandroid backups from GB are worth saving. Thanks!
