Question with GB rooted

I'm going to SBF back to FroYo, then do the two part GB install as seen here: Download: Official DROIDX Gingerbread 4.5.596 for Rooted Users - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

My question: where are the odex and deodex files used? Would I use them after doing the two part install? Or are they even necessary? Thanks in advance

use the deodexed file if you plan on doing any theming, metamorphs, or ninja morphs. if you like it the way it is all that is needed is the 2 part install. to be clear you can install the deodexed file anytime
