Question on converting video's

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good program for converting DVD rips and video files that I have on my hard drive to a good format for the S4? I've used Handbrake a lot in the past but I wasn't sure if there was something newer/better available now.

DVD catalyst is what I use, have been using it for years, it's fantastic, worth every penny.
