Question for other home++ users

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but my widgets often freeze and won't update for hours.
Others who are having this problem: what have you found that fixes this?
I've found that going into settings and (un)checking "Safe mode" works, but it's quite a hassle having to do this every time. Also, programs like ATK don't see home++, so you can't kill/restart it from there.

Thanks for the help!

akvalle... try to avoid using the App Drawer. i had no problems after this.

but i recommend going back to stock, as Home++ is too buggy now... or try 2.1 ROM :)

I have had the same problems, Home++ was great at first, and after all those updates, I kept getting force close, so I tried GDE and I liked it because of the screen animations and the dock at the bottom, but OMG that thing force closed every time I unlocked it or sent rotated the phone almost so now Im back to stock.

OP, I had the same issues with Home++.... every widget (other than the flip clock that came included in Home++) stopped updating for periods of time. Was extremely annoying. Never found a fix, they would just update a few hours later. I've moved on from Home++ to try to Launcher from the 2.1 port. I just miss the hidden notification bar.

I believe a lot of people are switching to another home screen. Home++ was nice for a while but the recent update has all kinds of problems. I am gonna switch to stock homescreen until the 2.1 OTA.

I guess I've been pretty lucky so far. I have been 100% pleased with Home++. I haven't noticed any of the issues people have. Doesn't even slow down for me at all, and I've had it for 2-3 weeks. It will be interesting to see which one I pick when 2.1 rolls around though.

For those of you who have switched back to stock... I would give this http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...2-apk-now-2-0-1-2-1-app-drawer-5-screens.html a try. It gives you 5 screens, it's a taste of what's to come with the 2.1 update, and it runs great! Plus it has a 3D app drawer.

Will you still be able to get the 2.1 OTA if you install this??
I don't see why not. It doesn't change the OS brand on your phone. It's merely an app install. It will be in addition to the stock home. You have to select Launcher as your default home just as you did with Home++
